Product Description

Common use

Antivert is an antihistamine which used to treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness. Antivert may also be helpful in treating vertigo. It works by blocking a chemical messenger in the brain, which helps to reduce or prevent vomiting.



Dosage and direction

Consult with your doctor before using. Use no more than was prescribed. Take it orally with or without food.

The recommended dose for adults and children 12 years and over various from type of situation:

1.For Motion Sickness the commonly dose is 5 to 50 milligrams 1 hour before traveling. During your journey the dose can be repeated every 24 hours.

2.For Vertigo: the commonly dose is 25 to 100 milligrams per day, divided into equal, smaller doses as determined by your doctor.

For children under years of age it is not recommended.

Precautions

Use Antivert with caution if you medical history include asthma, glaucoma, or an enlarged prostate gland, check with your doctor before using Antivert. Also Antivert may cause you to become drowsy or less alert; therefore, driving a car or operating dangerous machinery is not recommended. Use with caution in hot weather and during exercise. Antivert should not be used during pregnancy, becoming pregnant or lactating without doctor's advice. Because of the possible adverse effects to the infant breast-feeding is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.



Contraindications

Antivert is not allowed to people who are hypersensitivity to any components of this medication and contraindicated in pregnancy.



Possible side effect

They may include an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Less serious include:

- blurred vision;

dry mouth;

constipation; or

dizziness, drowsiness.

If you experience one of them stop using Antivert and tell your doctor as soon as possible. Also consult with your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual.



Drug interaction

Antivert interact with the following drugs: alcohol; other antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine); sedatives. Also note that interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. As usual it affects the the effect of drugs, so consult with your doctor about how it interactions are being managed or should be managed.



Missed dose

If you forgot to take your dose in time, please do it as soon as you remember. But do not take if it is too late or almost time for your next dose. Do not take double or extra doses. Take your usually dose next day in the same regularly time.



Overdose

Symptoms of Antivert overdose may include unusual excitability, drowsiness, hallucinations, very slow or shallow breathing, and seizures. If you experience one of them or any unusual symptoms call your doctor immediately.



Storage

Store at room temperature between 20-25 C (68-77 F). Keep far from heat, moisture, and sunlight. Storage in a bathroom is not recommended. Keep in places out of the reach of children.
